IT STARTED WITH A SIMPLE IDEA.

RoamWear started with a simple idea: make dog-walking clothing that we'd actually want to wear.

The idea came from a dog trainer who wanted something more practical while working with dogs — somewhere to keep toys, treats and the everyday essentials that normally end up stuffed into pockets or carried in a bag.

There are already plenty of practical dog-walking products out there, and the back-pocket hoodie is certainly not something we invented.

We just thought we'd have a go at making our own.

Our first product, the 001 Back Pocket Hoodie, takes a familiar everyday hoodie and adds the kind of extra storage that makes sense when you're out with your dog.

The first prototype wasn't made in a factory.

It was made at home.

We tried it, changed it, tried it again, and started thinking about what we'd want from our own dog-walking clothing — how it fits, how it feels, what you can carry and, most importantly, whether you'd actually want to wear it beyond the dog walk.

That first hoodie became the starting point for RoamWear .

We're not here to pretend we've invented dog-walking clothing.

We're here to make our own version of it.
